The International Research Foundation of Law and Criminology (IRFLC) is pleased to announce the launch of its prestigious program to recognize the Top 10 Criminologists of the Year worldwide. This distinguished award seeks to honor criminologists who have made significant contributions to the understanding of crime, criminal behavior, and the criminal justice system.

Criminologists play a critical role in the study of crime and the development of effective policies and strategies to address societal challenges related to criminal behavior. Through their research, academic work, and involvement in policy-making, these individuals have a direct impact on how crime is understood and how criminal justice systems evolve worldwide.

Who Can Participate?

Criminologists: If you are a criminologist who believes you have made significant contributions to the field or if you know someone whose work aligns with the criteria for this recognition, you are encouraged to apply or nominate them.

Nomination Process: Nominations are open to criminologists who have made notable contributions to the fields of crime prevention, criminal behavior analysis, justice system reform, or criminological research.

Application Requirements:

All nominators or self-nominees are required to submit comprehensive documentation reflecting the nominee’s qualifications, achievements, and contributions to the field of criminology. This includes, but is not limited to:

Research Papers and Articles: A list of published works, research papers, or articles that have contributed to the field of criminology.

Books and Monographs: Documentation of any books, research monographs, or edited volumes authored by the nominee.

Awards and Recognitions: Any awards, fellowships, or honors received for contributions to criminological theory, policy, or practice.

Impact on Criminal Justice: Evidence of how the nominee’s research or work has influenced criminal justice systems, crime prevention policies, or societal understanding of criminal behavior.

Collaborations and Leadership: Information about the nominee’s leadership roles in criminology, such as involvement with governmental organizations, NGOs, academic institutions, or involvement in mentoring younger criminologists.

We encourage applicants to provide a comprehensive portfolio that reflects the depth and breadth of their criminological contributions.

Submission Process:

Please ensure that all documents are organized, clear, and professionally presented to facilitate the review process.

Include a biographical statement outlining the nominee’s most significant contributions and achievements in criminology.

Registration Fee:

There is a $1,500 USD registration fee for participation in the Top 10 Criminologists of the Year recognition. This fee covers the administrative and evaluation costs related to the selection process.

Selection Process:

The selection of the Top 10 Criminologists of the Year will be carried out by an expert committee of leading criminologists and academics. The committee will review all nominations based on the impact of the nominee’s research, contributions to criminology, and their influence on crime prevention and criminal justice reform. The final selection will be determined after a thorough evaluation of the submitted materials.
